Being *a teacher* at school with a cold is like...
- looking up from the depths of a deep, deep swimming pool and knowing that you'll never make it to the light without sucking in a lot of water.
- trying to find your car in the mall's parking lot on a foggy day after spending twice as much time (and money) at the mall as you expected to spend.
- laying on the ground and inviting all domestic animals and small children in a three block vicinity to come trample you while you lay there, defenseless.
- being trapped under a sheet of ice/raft/enormous person while trying to emerge from the swimming pool/pond.
- looking through a telescope backwards.
-waking up the minute after you've gotten comfortable falling alseep, and then working a 10 hour day on so little rest.
- soggy noodles.
- soggy popcorn.
- stale bread.
- flat soda.
- losing 2 pounds and wanting to brag about it, but everyone else you know has either lost 10 pounds or is in impeccable shape.
- being stuck at the bottom of a well with a lot of creepy crawlers, yelling to the shadows who are walking by, but no one can hear you (or else, they choose to ignore your cries).
- participating in a spelling bee with ear muffs on.
- trying to scale a sky-scraper while wearing high heels.
it's, like... the worst thing ever.
